Situated in an old house at the end of the trendy Kensington/North West Calgary area, our store has an amazing three floors of unique crafts sure to enchant and delight you - once described as "eye candy" by one of our customers! From functional housewares to sparkling jewellery to stunning works of art, you'll be amazed at the skill and craftsmanship of some of the world's most overlooked artisans. Come in, take a look around, enjoy a cup of hot (or maybe iced) coffee and meet our friendly volunteers. Travel the world with each visit to Ten Thousand Villages and learn how Fair Trade really makes a difference. Experience vibrant colours, scents and textures of fairly-traded, handcrafted products from around the globe. Shop with a conscience!

  • It's School Kit Time, Mon Aug 16 - Thu Sep 30 2010. Drop by the store to pick up a handmade school kit bag. Take the list of school supplies needed and return the filled bag to any of our stores. We will take it to MCC who will send them out to children around the world. Every year, hundreds of disadvantaged children are able to attend school because of the generousity of our Calgary customers who each donate a few school supplies.   • Free Oriental Rug Seminar, Fri Sep 10 2010, 6:30 pm. Come enjoy refreshments after hours at the Crowchild store and get a preview of our newly arrived Oriental Rugs from Pakistan. Learn more about the ancient art of rug making and Fair Trade. Call the store to register at 403-270-0631
  • The Rugs are Coming!, Fri Sep 10 - Sat Sep 25 2010. Once a year here at the Crowchild store you can experience over 200 heirloom quality, handknotted rugs all made by fairly paid adults. All of our rugs are made with consistently high quality materials and dyeing techniques. We will have sizes from 2x3's up to 9x12's, but only for a few short weeks. Come experience some beautiful art work and see the difference that Fair Trade makes.
