May/June 2010 Newsletter

The south store has a new name. We are still the fabulous south store in the same great location, but we are now called Ten Thousand Villages HERITAGE. As we border on the corner of Heritage & Fairmount in the Southeast of Calgary, this is a landmarking initiative to bring improved association to the south of Calgary.

Our email address is Calgary.heritage@villages.ca. Please note that the old email address (Calgary.fairmount@villages.ca) will still forward to the new one. The phone & fax number are still the same, as well as the fabulous, amazing volunteers, staff & Management. Drop by to say hello.

The Heritage location is no longer going to be a permanent rug location carrying the "bunyaad" rugs from Pakistan, nor having a yearly rug event in spring. We may have a rug event in a couple years, but that is not yet confirmed. We are moving towards home Décor and larger furniture items amongst the regular food & handicrafts carried within our stores. We are expanding our horizons in order to compliment the diverse tastes of our Calgary customers. We encourage customers to keep dropping by to see what is new at the Heritage store.

Change is good. Fair Trade is fantastic!
