Located in Beit Sahour, a Palestinian village on the east side of Bethlehem, Mosleh Workshop produces beautifully carved olive wood items. The family and neighbours of Issa Mosleh comprise the five artisans working for Mosleh Workshop. Jiries Mosleh, Issa's father, established the workshop. Issa is a trained engineer, but is unable to work due to the Isreali occupation. When Jiries retired due to health problems, Issa was able to carry on their small family business. He hopes to continually produce this valuable handicraft during these difficult times. In an area with few opportunities, the sale of olive wood creations provides desperately needed income for talented artisans.
