Jabulani Jewellery

Jabulani Jewellery

In South Africa, where employment opportunities are scarce, the women of Jabulani (meaning ‘happiness’ in Zulu), experience the dignity and security of reliable employment. Jabulani Jewellery markets beaded accessories made by Zulu women. Today, the business works with between 80 and 120 beaders who are able to work from home while they care for their families. Many travel for more than an hour from rural areas and use the opportunity to purchase additional raw materials to create more jewellery.
