Highly skilled silver jewellers of the Saharan north and west Africa create each work of wearable art. Jewellery making has been an important tradition of the Tuareg nomads for centuries. The ear rings in the photo have a nice patina but the ear rings I received have no patina. With time, a patina should develop on the ear rings and I will like them more.

Ten Thousand Villages reply (Jun 4, 2018):
Thank you for your product review, Shirley! We're sorry to hear that your earrings lack the patina you were hoping for. Because they are handcrafted, each piece may vary slightly.
