Teal Chulucanas Bird Sculpture

$20

The grace of nesting birds is captured in stylized curves that reflect the serenity of repose. In Chulucanas, a small town on the north coast of Peru, local potters have been creating unique clay items for centuries. The inhabitants of the town descend from ancient pre-Columbian people. They developed “reverse technique” ceramics, displayed today in some museums under the name of Vicus pottery.
