Tagua Beaded Necklace

$38

Eco jewellery is on the rise. Featuring sustainably harvested tagua nut, also known as “vegetable ivory,” tagua is produced by a palm-like tree in South America. The nuts fall to the ground when mature, so harvesting doesn’t damage the trees. This beaded necklace was handcrafted by makers of Maquita. Maquita works with more than one hundred craft workshops in Ecuador providing marketing, production and design assistance to over 600 artisans.

This necklace is exactly what was shown on the web-site. It is very nice and I like the that it can be adjusted as to the length you want. It is not too heavy and the color goes with a lot of outfits. All in all, I am very pleased with this necklace.
