The pattern of this brightly coloured coin purse is as fun as time spent with friends. A thin strap keeps the purse in place so its wearer can remain hands-free. Handmade in Guatemala by artisans of Ruth and Naomi. Of the initial group of 18 women who created the weaving co-operative, all had lost husbands, fathers, or both to the government’s “scorched earth” policy of the 1980s. The name was chosen because it spoke of two widows from the Bible who were without resources, but who worked and survived.
