Weekend Visit Card

Sale $8 $7

A bicycle rests gently below a summertime window on this card that brings tidings of love. About 400 rural paper makers in the coastal town of Salay, Misamis Oriental, on the island of Mindanao, Philippines, work to create handmade paper from grasses, flowers and local tree-free products. Although the organization has paper down to a science, many factors affect colour or dyeing, including season, climate, process (air or steam drying), and even the strength of the wind. One of the amazing joys of handmade products.

So much work and detail went into the making of this card! Many pressed flowers, wire thread for the wheels and beautiful paper....it is very impressive.
