Swirling Blue Phoenician Vase

In West Bank, each workshop uses a “secret family recipe” to create graceful shapes with unique patterns as glass is blown and spun on the end of a metal tube. Hebron glass was traditionally produced using sand from the village of Bani Na'im, east of Hebron and sodium carbonate taken from the Dead Sea. Today, recycled glass is the primary raw material allowing glass collectors in the area to make a living too.
